WORLD CHAMPIONS!

It has been a long awaited 25 years for the Pittsburgh Steelers to return to WORLD CHAMPIONS status. Terry Bradshaw lead the Steelers to a 31-19 victory in 1980 over the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl XIV. Some 25 years later, second year Ben Roethlisberger helped lead the Steelers to a 21-10 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.
The Bus finally secured his long, overdue Championship with a career 91 touchdowns and 13,662 rushing yards, the fifth best in NFL history, touching the ball 3,479 in 192 regular-season games. It was amazing to see The Bus go out on top. Second year Willie Parker has shown promising signs with his explosive 75 yard rush turned touchdown, a Super Bowl record.
I’m sure people will say it wasn’t the greatest Super Bowl, but in my life-time it was. It doesn’t get much better than to watch your home team win a Super Bowl as the sixth seed winning all playoff games on the road (that hasn’t been done since the 12-team playoffs were instituted in 1990). Way to bring home the fifth WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP to Pittsburgh!
