U2: The Boys Have Done It Again

I have to say that U2 is probably my favorite band of all time. These guys continually produce amazing music. I can listen to their music at any time and feel a sense of peace and joy that no other musician can bring. They have been writing and recording for the past two decades, shaping the face of music with their truth-seeking message of Love and Peace. Well they have done it again walking away from the Grammys this year with 5 awards, yes count them, 5 awards. They won the following Grammys for:
Album of the Year – How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb
Song of the Year – Sometimes You Can’t Make It On Your Own
Best rock performance by a duo or group with vocal – Sometimes You Can’t Make it on Your Own
Best rock song – City of Blinding Lights
Best rock album – How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb
It was quite a night for the boys of Dublin. Bono was musing about How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, he said “How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb is an odd title for album, we accept that. Actually I was talking about my father Bob. He was the atomic bomb in question. I wanna thank my father Bob for giving me the voice and a bit of attitude to use it …” The guys deserve it and they have worked hard for it. How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb is a reinvention of the U2 that we have all come to love. Keep it up boys.
