Magic Spray

A little spray here...A little spray there
As the World Cup has been consuming many hours of my life over the past two weeks, I have come to chuckle in amazement at the many drama queens there are on the world soccer stage. One thing that has fascinated this World Cup, and soccer in general, is the use of this new “magic spay”. There is a great article on Slate on the use of the “magic spray” and how it has become quite the phenomenon. There is never any question of the “magic” workings of the “magic spray”. Sprained knee…magic spray, cleat marks…magic spray, shin splints…magic spray, bleeding profusely…magic spray, elbowed in the face…magic…er…um…butterfly stitches. I think I’ve made my point now I just need to get my hands on some of this stuff!

It even helps numb the pain when you get knocked out by ace king. I keep a travel-size bottle in my poker chips case for such an occasion. Although the label does say “pepper spray” and I usually spray it on the defeater not the defeatee. It does seem to ease the pain in a way…
