I Love Me Some Skiing: The Extended Fam Without Me
I had the privilege of going up to Gibson, PA with the youth group from Reston Bible this past weekend. It was a blast! We got to doing some skiing up at Elk Mountain which surprisingly enough was the mountain that I learned to ski on…ages ago. We were also staying at a place called Rock Mountain Bible Camp which is where I used to go with my youth group way back in the day. Quite a blast from the past! Overall it was a great weekend and God really showed up in a big way. It was amazing to sit back and watch God move among those kids. I was able to help out a little with the worship, but overall got some great opportunities to just hang out with the kids. And the skiing…well it was great! It was about 11 degrees when we arrived and they had just received a couple inches of snow the day before. Certainly not my favorite mountain, but a great skiing day none the less. Now if I could only dig up some cash to get me out again this season…
