Beach Funnies

I love the elderly!
As I promised yesterday for my three to five readers I have some funny stories from the beach. I’m sure you recall that the wife and I were down in the Outer Banks, NC with the in-laws for some much needed time away. On this particular late morning I had just changed into my bathing suit for a long, hard day of laying on the beach. The house is a three level townhouse. The first set of stairs takes you up from the garage to the middle floor where the two main bedrooms are. As I walk out of the back bedroom I notice this elderly lady coming up the first set of stairs. I do a quick mental checklist of elderly ladies I know at this beach and realize I have no idea who this woman is. She sees me, stops dead in her tracks like deer in the headlights, looks around puzzled then proclaims…”I’m in the wrong house”. Of course my response is “why yes you are”. Then she must of had a fleeting moment of trying to regain her former intellect as she quizzes me on the house…including “well this is I-3”, ummm no sorry it’s not, “well I could have sworn…” it’s okay, you have a happy and a healthy. Needless to say we all had a good chuckle about the mishap. I saw the lady again later in the week and she immediately walked in the opposite direction. I just have that effect on some folks…
